Another run around the Sun
Celebration and reflection
Birthday Shenanigans
Another trip around the Sun is complete! I think I’m a little dizzy from the last week’s shenanigans. Thank you so much to all those who sent birthday greetings and more. It was a wonderful week of celebration.
Above is my favorite birthday card from this year, courtesy of my wife, Cathy.
Birthday Indulgence: Pizzeria Bianco
This year, my birthday fell on a Friday, and Cathy took the day off to celebrate with me. We have been pining to go to Pizzeria Bianco ever since we saw the owner, Chris Biaco, featured on the Netflix series Chef's Table: Pizza. I am happy to report that this place lives up to the hype. Every item we tried was indescribably delicious.

Top left: Spiedini, made with Italian Rontina cheese and wrapped in fantastic prosciutto. Top right: Margherita pizza with fresh mozzarella. Lower left: House special pizza with honey, chilies, and Soprasseta salami. Lower right: Peach Sorbeto (no dairy). All amazing. No wonder I’m feeling a little foggy. 😂
Fire up the defibrillator! CLEAR!
More new beginnings

Once again, we must consider what we will do with the remainder of our days. The particulars will be unique for each of us, but generally speaking, the best way to respond to our times is to:
And to…
I will be thinking a lot about these themes in the coming days, and many of those thoughts will make their way to this substack. For now, though, I leave them with you for your consideration.
Finally, here’s Augie wielding the force. Expertly, as usual.
Until next time,
May the Force of Love be with you.
